ADMISSION Policy

The purpose of our admission policy is to help you through the admission process effectively and help place your child in the appropriate class at The White School International.

STEP - 1

To begin with, documentation which you need to submit with your application:

A copy of the student’s academic reports of the past two years (if admission is sought for Grade 5 & above)
Five recent passport size photographs
Filled application form
Medical records (if the child is on specific treatment )
Transfer Certificate from the previous school. (From Grade 2 onwards)

Once your application is received, the admission process will begin. Your child’s age will give the initial indication as to the appropriate class, and the aptitude test will either confirm this or lead to further assessment.

Age
These are the guidelines for dates of birth for children entering The White School International. We believe students should be with children of the same age, tackling tasks with the appropriate intellectual challenge.

Play Group 2.5 to 3 ½ yrs
Entering KG 1 3 ½ by 31 March
Entering KG 2 4 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 1 5 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 2 6 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 3 7 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 4 8 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 5 9 ½ by 31 March
Entering Class 6 10½ by 31 March
Entering Class 7 11½ by 31 March
Entering Class 8 12½ by 31 March
Entering Class 9 13½ by 31 March
Entering Class 10 14½ by 31 March
Entering Class 11 15½ by 31 March
Entering Class 12 16½ by 31 March

STEP – 2 +

After receiving the initial documentation with your child’s application, we will arrange for an assessment to place your child in the appropriate class.

STEP – 3 +

Aptitude Test
For entry to Grade 2 upwards, children are required to take an Aptitude Test. This will reflect what we expect a child to be able to do by the end of the preceding school year. Those seeking admission to Grade 3 to 5 will be assessed in English and Mathematics. Those seeking admission to Grade 6 and above will be assessed in Science, Mathematics and English.

We meet parents and students personally to discuss their interests and academic progress.

If applying from outside Kerala, please post or email copies of identification, relevant documents and the previous School Report.
